As we reported, the showrunner was suspended after members of the casts from both The Royals and One Tree Hill came forward with sexual harassment allegations -- and now the 51-year-old screenwriter has been fired from the E! show altogether!

Lionsgate TV said in a statement after looking into the accusations:

"We have concluded our investigation and Mark will not be returning to The Royals. The fourth season of the show has already completed production and will air as scheduled on E! in the spring."

As stated, season four will not be affected as it is already complete -- and it's yet to be announced if the Elizabeth Hurley drama will be back for a fifth season. We'll keep you posted.
